How Much Salt Does A Kidney Patient Need In Daily Life

2018-07-11 14:35

To most of kidney disease patients the doctors always tell them to restrict the salt intake strictly, why? The salt is the most important flavour to most family, without salt most of them will lose their health and can not do anything, But more salt intake can lead to the hypertension and high blood fat, and it will increase the burden of kidney. To kidney patients more salt intake can lead to the serious swellings, and heart problems. Therefore as the patients or normal persons we must take care of the salt intake in our daily life in order to protect our health.

There are roughly two situations: Patients with high blood pressure, edema, and urine protein are advised to limit their daily salt intake to 3 g (half the level of beer bottle caps). Patients who do not have these symptoms generally do not need to limit salt intake (as prescribed by the doctor), but the daily intake of salt should not exceed 6 g (the amount of a beer bottle cap).

These salt misconceptions, kidney patients must know:

1, “invisible” salt can not be ignored

Many people only look at the specific amount of salt and ignore a lot of “invisible” salt, such as soy sauce, salt in aginomoto and so on.

2. Many people choose “low sodium salt” to save trouble, but it is not necessary. As long as they eat ordinary salt, low sodium salt generally has high potassium, which is not suitable for patients with hyperkalemia.

The salt is only one of the necessary caution in your daily diet, other food is also should be cared ,such as potassium, phosphorus and high protein or seafood etc, according to different condition of kidney patients, our kidney experts have figured out different healthy diet plan and reasonable treatment with Chinese herbal medicine-- a special systemic natural treatment ,which can help kidney patients discharge the toxins out of their body ,repair the damaged kidney cells and restore the kidney function again ,more and more foreign patients come to Beijing Tongshantang Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine to accept the natural treatment and have obtained the good treatment effect, if you want to know more detailed information about natural treatment or diet plan for patients, please contact us through the following message:
