Hot flashes makes people feel uncomfortable. It is typically experienced as a feeling of intense heat with sweating and rapid heartbeat. Remember that males are also likely to experience hot flashes.

There are some certain foods also will cause hot flashes, such as coffee, tea, sugars, fried foods, potato chips, peanuts, pastries, candies and concentrated sugars, so as a PKD patient you also should avoid to eat it.

Black cohosh is another alternative herbal treatment. It alone or with other botanical therapies can be used to relieve hot flashes or other vasomotor symptoms associated with menopause.
